His Grace is Enough

“Oh, how He loves us, oh

Oh, how He loves us, how He loves all

How He loves”

~ "How He Loves", by David Crowder

Oh how He does love us.

Scripture tells us over and over again how deeply He loves us:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. ~ John 3:16 (NIV)

God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ~ Romans 5:8 (NIV)

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved. ~ Ephesians 2:4-5 (NIV)

There is nothing we can do to earn His love and there is nothing we can do that would make Him love us less.

  1. It's difficult for us to comprehend this kind of love, isn't it? Especially when my own heart hardens and struggles with forgiveness and humility. Thank you for this amazing reminder. I love the thought of drowning in His grace!

  4. Beth,
I tried to post a comment on Jessica's site and...well...it didn't post. Just wanted you to know I loved your post and scripture that I needed to drink in this morning - especially Galatians 1:10 which says we cannot please man and be a servant of God. I need to play to an audience of one and believe that in Christ I am truly enough. When the enemy tells me otherwise - I need to tell him to hit the road. Thank you for sharing from your beautiful heart...you have really struck a chord in my heart!! Love you girl. ((Hugs))Bev

I love this reminder! It is so easy to try to "earn" His love, but there is no way we can live up to that standard. Praise God, we have Jesus to be that standard of perfection so God can look down on us and see love!
