Jesus answered,
“Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,
but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.
Indeed, the water I give them
will become in them a spring of water
welling up to eternal life.”
John 4:13-14

ReplyDeleteI love these verses - the visual is so powerful!
ReplyDeletethis passage made me think of a passage from my devotional (i'm having trouble finding the page right now), but I believe it draws on Romans and reminds us not to live according to pleasing others because people can be 'harsh task maskers' but, instead, to live according to the perfect will of God.. this verse reminded me of that message, because when you live your life to make others happy, no matter what you do it's never enough - your thirst is never quenched.. it also called to mind John 14:27: Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you ♥ thanks for sharing! (and sorry I was MIA for a while.. I was having trouble commenting on Blogger sites for some reason!)
ReplyDeleteYES!! I never, ever, ever, ever again want to be thirsty when He is giving Water.
