Three Word Wednesday: Pray for them

Source: Unknown

Pray for the soldiers in my husband's unit.

Pray for the families who support these brave men and women.

Pray for my husband.

Pray for me.

Pray for all who continue to serve our country.

Pray for our Gold Star families.

Pray for God to move in to the lives of our military families.

Pray for them to know Him.

Pray for them to put their trust in Him.

Pray that they know how deeply they are loved.

Pray they know He is always with them.

"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

Psalm 23

Friends, thank you for all your prayers. They continue to be felt and are greatly appreciated. My husband has only a few more days at home so please forgive the delay in getting by to read the posts you link-up. Thank you for being a part of this Three Word Wednesday community. Your words are always such a blessing to me.

  1. Good Morning Beth - Perfect 3 words! It is good that you remind us to pray for those serving. It is amazing to me how quickly we can become focused on those things taking place in our own lives. Praying for you & yours & those they are serving with. Blessings!

    1. Thank you, Joanne! As always thank you for linking up and thank you for your continued prayers. God bless you!

  2. I agree with your prayer, reaching out my hand to hold you, along with the others here. Praying with Christ and seeing Him as the good shepherd, guiding your husband and all the other military fathers, brothers, sisters, and mothers serving overseas today. Thank you for reminding us of those serving in distant lands.

My nephew is a Marine who was due to return home in a few days, but instead was sent to the Philippines. He responded to the call of duty with such respect and gratitude to be able to help. I'm proud of all our heroes, serving here and abroad. Bless you, Beth, and your family ... with love...

    1. Susan, Thank you to your nephew for his service. I will be sure to add him to my prayers.
Thank you too for your kind words and your prayers.
      Many blessings to you.

  3. Hi Beth,

    Joining with you in prayer.

May I ask what the Gold Star is? (I live in the UK)

Thank you for the opportunity to link up.

    God bless

    1. Hi Anita - I'm assuming Anita Hunt??! Glad to see you at Beth's blog!! I'm jumping in here as I commented right after you. A "Gold Star" family is a family who has lost someone in the line of duty. I am a Blue Star my son served. You may have seen in the blog world pictures of little flags that are red around the outside with a blue or gold star (or sometimes more than one) in the inside (we put them in our windows of our homes or cars). Those denote Gold or Blue Star families.

    2. Thank you, Anita. I'm glad two other ladies jumped in to answer your question regarding our Gold Star families. (Thank you Joan!!)

    3. Thanks so much Joan and Linda, for the explanation, I so appreciate that. My prayers are with you all. x

  4. We can be confident that God hears all our prayers! He knows our fears, our pains and our dreams. He is always faithful!

    Blessings, Joan

    1. Amen! He is ALWAYS faithful! Thank you again to your son for his service and to you! And thank you for being a part of this Three Word Wednesday community.
      Blessings to you.

  5. Yes, Beth. Praying for all those who serve and are supporting them in the ways you pray are my prayers too, Beth.
In answer to Anita, "Gold Star" stands for - "Gold Star families have family members who died or was killed serving in the armed forces. This is signified on a service flag with a small gold star placed on top of a blue star. Blue Star families have family members serving in the armed forces. This is symbolized on a service flag with a blue star." I stand tall as a Gold Star child.
    Caring through Christ, ~ linda

    1. Thank you sweet friend. And thank you for helping to answer Anita's question. I'm grateful to both you and Joan for providing an answer to quickly for her. You are fabulous!
Much love and hugs to you.

    2. Thanks for the explanation Linda, I so appreciate that. My prayers are with you.

  6. Saying prayers, sweet friend. So thankful we have a God who hears our cries and heart.

  7. Beth, I prayed through your post this morning. Thank you for showing us the way... We stand with you in agreement.

    Hugs :)

    1. Thank you for joining in prayer Lyli. {Hugs} to you.

  8. I certainly will be praying all those and more. God bless you, Beth!

    1. Thank you Lauren for your continued prayers. Much love to you.

  9. Dear Beth
I can just imagine how hard it must be for the families of these brave men when the husband and father has to go away for such long times. It takes a special kind of wife and you are one of those. I admire your tenacity and live for your family!
    Blessings XX
