A Blogging Break

Some call it blogging suicide. I'm choosing to view it as an opportunity for Christ to fill me up so I can continue to pour out.

In the words of the lovely Holley Gerth: "Jesus promises us 'living water' that fills us up with what we need to offer others (John 7:38). We can always go to him—not just in the times when we can get away for a significant time but also moment-to-moment."

There are also birthdays to celebrate, a valentine to kiss and a son to welcome home. Oh, how I have joy-filled moments ahead of me in the coming weeks. I intend to savor each and every one.

Below are recent images shared on my blog Facebook page to leave you with for now. I will remain semi-active on the page during my blogging break if you want to join me there.

Do you see a theme in the images? The theme I see . . . God has everything we need no matter the need. Trust in Him. He is faithful.

You make my life richer, friends. Thank you!

I will return mid-March.

  1. Love you girl! I will be praying for those joy-filled moments to contain God's loving touch in everyone. I am really loving Isaiah 26:3 above-a perfect peace in Christ. Yes and amen! That is exactly what I have been striving for this year. Can't wait to hear about all the fun! Hugs and see you around! :)

  8. Hi Beth! I have a lot coming up in March myself, so I'm taking a blog break too. It's not suicide? It's being filled, and being responsible to what God has given you.
I pray that it will be a joyful and rejuvenating time for you and yours!! (And a Skype in there too)
I love those images. You have a real flair for them.
    Blessings and Valentine Wishes,

Beth, you are such a blessing to me.
The photo of the bird on the post is my favorite and the inches of snow remind me on this 15th of February to remind you to STAY WARM!!!! We just got a norther down here and the heater is running away. But you are up in the COLD country and we are hot compared to you!!

  12. Beth, you are one of the people whom I believe listens VERY closely to the Lord. And if He's leading you to take a break, then He's got something very specific in mind. Even if it's just a time of rest and refreshment. This too, has purpose.

And I'm also looking forward to one of your joy-filled moments in the next few weeks. I have a suspicion that it's going to bring ME great joy, too!!

    Love you, and GOD BLESS!

  15. Blessings to you on your blogging break, Beth. I pray that God will fill you up! Your words encourage me now because I've had my father visiting us the last week, and now today that I should catch up on writing a blog post, I am sick in bed with the flu! God has seasons for all of us. Love your facebook images.
