Friday Randomness (Vol. 14)

Scripture speaking to my heart

"But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth." ~ Exodus 9:16

Storyline by Donald Miller

"Christ's death on the cross was the ultimate act of love, the largest bouquet of flowers in history, the sentiment of a million love songs played out in real live." ~ Donald Miller

Three Word Wednesday Featured Writer

I promise to return next week with a featured writer. New to link up this week are #14, #16, #22, #23 and #25. Would you stop by and say hello to them? Click here.

A few of my favorite blog reads

Jennifer Dukes Lee encourages us to #TellHisStory even if it's scary and Nikki talks about finding the Hallelujahs in our stories. Both posts are filled with goodness.

If you have not already, you must read Deidra's post Damn Vices. Truly...don't miss it.

It has been a while since I've been to Bonnie Grey's place but grateful God for some reason prompted me to pay her a visit this week. The {Beloved} is Real: Do You Have a Beautiful Secret Place?

What do you need to be encouraged? The lovely Diane Bailey tells us exactly what we need.

I visited Kitty for the very first time and will surely be back to her place again. Be Still And Know.

Because of the video above I had to share the picture taken right after we were baptized this past summer. It will forever be a favorite.

Did you miss our story of transformation? Read here.

It brought tears to my eyes to read your honesty about your struggles. I loved your note to your pastor- "I'm all in"... Praying for your food issues! I feel your pain on that one :)!

  9. Beth, I'd not read your story of transformation before and love the picture from your baptism. I cried as I read how God worked on both of you individually to change your lives and then to transform your marriage, home, and family. What a beautiful story of redemption. Thank you for your transparency. Much love to you friend!

  10. Great stuff, Beth - thanks for sharing!

When I first met you and read some of the comments you shared about being apart from your husband during this deployment I sensed something different from other similar stories I've read from military wives. After reading your testimony, I think I understand. As new creatures in Christ, there is much about your marriage that is "new" as well. I'm sure this makes this time apart even more difficult for you both. As hard as it is, God has a purpose in everything. He will bless you and your husband as you both continue to seek Him even through this difficult time apart. God bless you, my friend and sister in Christ.

  12. Beth, I love your randomness! It gives me so many places to go exploring! And, for the record, if I was a Facebooker, I would join you. But (so far) I am not. Doesn't mean, though, that I don't LIKE you very much!!
