  3. Beth - I so needed that reminder that it's not about camping and barbecues. It's about those who sacrificed on our behalf, out of love for our country! Have a great weekend Beth! Blessings, Jen

  4. thank you. We have a years-ago painted copy re: the Vietnam Wall in D.C. Gave it to my husband nearly 20 years ago, and it is hanging on the wall on his side of the bedroom. Even though he was too young to have been in Vietnam, he always had his heart about it. He still does. And, having been born right during the end of WWII, [2 months after the V-E day, and 1 month before the V-J day ... makes me a bit strange in terms of history, doncha think?], I've had a heart-focused war "givers"... so much from so many ... this can't NOT be part of my heart, ever, ever.

  5. Dear Beth, I thank you for your son, your husband...their service, and for you as you serve as well. Thank you for sharing Wreaths Across America through their words here. Worcester Wreath Company is absolutely wonderful. I have been following them, donating when I can, and using their "appreciation" cards for a number of years to thank those I see walk across my path each day who are serving or have served. God has given me a ministry through these cards.
    Lest we forget!

    1. Linda, thank you so much for coming by and sharing. Wreaths Across America is a wonderful organization. My son spent his first two years honoring our fallen heroes as they were laid to rest at Arlington (he's actually in the picture I shared with this post) so joining him in remembering has been very important to me. The cards that WAA provides is such a wonderful way to show our gratitude to those who have served and current serving. Thank you for your heart towards our military. Blessings, Beth.

  6. I haven't seen the wreaths, but the local DAR and CAR chapters placed flags on the veterans' graves. I was touched to see one on my Dad's.

    1. Jennifer, I'm happy to hear one was placed on your father's grave. My son has participated in the "flags-in" at Arlington Cemetery and it warms my heart to know our fallen veterans are being remembered by many. Blessings to you.
