“Oh, how He loves us, oh
Oh, how He loves us, how He loves all
How He loves”

Scripture tells us over and over again how deeply He loves us:

How He loves”

Oh how He does love us.
Scripture tells us over and over again how deeply He loves us:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. ~ John 3:16 (NIV)
God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ~ Romans 5:8 (NIV)
God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ~ Romans 5:8 (NIV)
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which
he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together
with Christ—by grace you have been saved. ~ Ephesians 2:4-5 (NIV)
There is nothing we can do to earn His love and there is nothing we can do that would make Him love us less.
It's difficult for us to comprehend this kind of love, isn't it? Especially when my own heart hardens and struggles with forgiveness and humility. Thank you for this amazing reminder. I love the thought of drowning in His grace!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carrie. I too love the thought of drowning in His grace! Blessings.
DeleteSo happy to have you guest posting today :) My mom already commented on the post, but she sent me a text as well that said (in all capital letters!) how much she loved it :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jessica. So happy to hear she enjoyed.
DeleteHow great the Father's love for us, and how great a privilege to be called His children!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping back in Alison and for the follow on Twitter. It is so nice to connect!
DeleteBeth,
ReplyDeleteI tried to post a comment on Jessica's site and...well...it didn't post. Just wanted you to know I loved your post and scripture that I needed to drink in this morning - especially Galatians 1:10 which says we cannot please man and be a servant of God. I need to play to an audience of one and believe that in Christ I am truly enough. When the enemy tells me otherwise - I need to tell him to hit the road. Thank you for sharing from your beautiful heart...you have really struck a chord in my heart!! Love you girl. ((Hugs))Bev
Beth - So glad you shared this today at UNITE. OH the heighth, width, and depth of His great love....a love we truly can sink in. Thanks for this reminder! - Jen
ReplyDeleteThank you for the opportunity to link up, Jen. I always love reading what is on your heart and the hearts of all who link up. I wish I could read every single one of them. Much love to you.

There is nothing we can do to earn His love and there is nothing we can do that would make Him love us less.
ReplyDeleteI love this reminder! It is so easy to try to "earn" His love, but there is no way we can live up to that standard. Praise God, we have Jesus to be that standard of perfection so God can look down on us and see love!
Thank you for stopping in Megan. I appreciate you sharing. I'm still trying to figure out how one follows me here. :)
DeleteBlessings,
Beth
more than enough
ReplyDeleteall that we need
when we surrender and find Him there
